Branch Assistant

Duties to Include but not limited to:

We are currently looking to recruit a Branch Assistant and van driver for our Newtown branch. Links is a leading Independent electrical wholesaler with 11 branches in the across Wales and Shropshire, our culture wherever possible is to promote from within, therefore career progression opportunities are available to everyone who joins the company.

The Branch Assistant and van driver's ideal candidate will be confident with customers, have an excellent telephone manner. Be able to work under their own initiative and build and maintain strong relationships with staff and customers. The role will involve responsibilities such as order picking, handling goods in, general warehouse duties as well as delivering goods

A forklift truck (FLT) license and experience in loading/unloading vehicles would be advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for an all rounder who is happy to get stuck in and help with all aspects of the branch. Experience within the industry is not required but a keen mindset to learn is essential.

Salary is £20,920-£25,875 including bonus per annum + training + career progression + benefits.

Branch Assistant Role & Responsibilities

  • Customer deliveries
  • Serving customers on the trade counter
  • Internal sales / answering the telephone
  • Preparing customer quotations
  • Purchase ordering and supplier negotiation
  • Customer order picking
  • Goods in / out responsibilities

Experience

  • Wholesale experience is preferable but not essential
  • Strong work ethic and initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Forklift licence is preferable but not essential
