Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to provide high-quality support and care to residents in a long-term Dementia Care setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential care, with experience working with diverse populations, including those with the elderly and dementia. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting residents' well-being, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, vital signs, and overall health status, documenting findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals while adhering to safety protocols such as CPR and first aid procedures.
- Overseeing and managing a Team of five.
- Support residents' emotional well-being through compassionate communication, social engagement, and participation in recreational activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that address each resident's unique needs.
Skills
- Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice support.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: £12.50 per hour
