We are looking for a Transport Planner to join our Transport & Mobility team to work on a diverse range of projects that cover urban development, infrastructure planning and design, resource management, and programme delivery.

This position is within our Cities business unit that is at the forefront of innovation in the urban environment. The role will be a hybrid position attached to either our Bath or London office.

About the Role:

As a Consultant Transport Planner, you will work within our Transport and Mobility team, part of our Cities business unit. This role involves participating in a variety of exciting projects globally, from strategic master planning to transport assessments at the development stage. Our recent projects include a large-scale medical facility in Qatar, Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium in North London, and a master plan for a garden city in Malaysia.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in transport planning, economics, and/or transport data analysis/modelling
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare and present work to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with a lateral thinking approach
  • Experience working as part of a project-based team
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (other software tools are a plus)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience using Adobe packages (Illustrator and InDesign) and GIS
  • Capability in other transport or city planning skills such as master planning and planning strategy
  • Understanding of development planning principles and integrated design within master planning
  • Experience working on international projects and flexibility to travel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, development, and analysis of transport data
  • Concept design and master planning for transport schemes
  • Involvement in design workshops and developing concept designs
  • Drafting technical reports and presentations
  • Managing time in accordance with project schedules and client expectations
  • Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to bids
  • Promoting transport planning/analysis to existing and potential clients
  • Training junior staff and contributing to the upskilling of the wider transport planning team
