About Us

An established and growing built-environment consultancy is seeking an Assistant / Graduate Transport Planner to join its expanding Transport team. • Supporting the development of Travel Plans and Travel Packs to promote sustainable and active travel.
  • Undertaking data collection and analysis, including traffic surveys and public transport assessments.
  • Providing technical support such as swept-path analysis and CAD-based tasks where required.
  • Liaising with internal consultants and external stakeholders including local authorities and highway officers.
  • Attending meetings, workshops and site visits as part of wider project teams.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Around 1 year of relevant experience in transport planning (or a strong academic background with practical exposure).
  • A genuine interest in transport planning, sustainable transport, placemaking, spatial planning and development-related infrastructure.
  • A good understanding of the UK planning system and transport policy framework.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to learn specialist software such as CAD, GIS and transport data/modelling tools.
  • Flexibility to support project delivery, including occasional work beyond standard office hours when required.

  • A supportive, collaborative working environment with structured mentoring and development.
  • Exposure to a broad and interesting portfolio of projects across the UK.
