Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance. The Care Assistant will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver tailored care plans in a professional and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
  • Follow individualised care plans accurately and compassionately
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Administer medication as prescribed, following proper procedures
  • Record relevant information regarding clients' health and wellbeing
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required (driving skills preferred)

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them precisely
  • Good IT skills for documentation purposes
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and empathy towards clients
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation of clients

This position is ideal for caring individuals who are committed to supporting others with kindness and professionalism. Candidates should be organised, reliable, and able to communicate effectively within a team environment. Prior experience in the care sector is beneficial but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided to develop necessary skills.
