Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding team.

This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards industry-recognised qualifications.

As part of your training, you will assist experienced engineers in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of a wide variety of fire and security systems across domestic, commercial, and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with installing and maintaining fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Learn to test, fault-find, and repair systems under supervision.
  • Gain an understanding of system drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with British Standards, health & safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Attend college or off-site training as required as part of the apprenticeship programme.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and excellent customer service at all times.

  • A keen interest in electrical, fire, or security systems.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
