Role Overview:
We are seeking a Duralock Technician to join our growing installation and manufacturing team. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled position involving national installation work, factory-based production, and warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will be practical, adaptable, and eager to learn — someone who takes pride in precision work, can think creatively to solve problems, and thrives in both workshop and site environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a small installation team to install Duralock PVCu fencing systems across the UK, maintaining the company's high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
- Travel nationwide and stay away from home as required (overnight accommodation provided).
- Operate and assist with a range of production machinery, including a CNC Router Bed (2-Axis), auto-feed router, and UPVC heat bending machine.
- Follow production schedules and instructions under the guidance of the Production Manager, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all manufacturing tasks.
- Support warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and preparing customer orders using the CRM system.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace across all areas of work.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues in installation, production, and logistics, contributing ideas and practical solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and operational standards.
Training & Onboarding:
Full training will be provided under the supervision of the existing team. Week 1 will outline the structure of duties and expectations across installation, manufacturing, and warehousing.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (required for operating company vehicles).
- Access to your own car for commuting (due to limited public transport to the factory).
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home for installation projects.
- Practical, hands-on approach and ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks as required.
Working Hours:
- Factory hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm.
- Installation hours: May vary depending on project location and requirements.
