Grab Driver

We are currently recruiting for Grab Driver to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Shrewsbury Area. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients.

Working Hours & Location

  • Location: Shrewsbury
  • 50 Hours a week
  • £ £14.50 an Hour

About the Role

As a Grab Driver, you will:

· Safely operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.

· Deliver concrete, aggregates, and other materials to various locations in a timely manner.

· Load and unload materials as required, using appropriate equipment.

· Plan efficient routes for deliveries and ensure punctual service.

· Communicate effectively with you line management and team members to coordinate deliveries efficiently.

· Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures

· Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

· Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks

· Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

· Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bringing to your supervisor's attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment.

Experience and Qualifications:  (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)

· Full UK driving license, Class 2 license, CPCS Lorry -Loader (Required)

· Up to date driver CPC and Digi Tacho (Required)

· NPORS

· Banksman

· Manual Handling

· Emergency First Aid

· NRSWA

· EUSR National Water Hygiene

· Asbestos Awareness

· CPC Driver Training (HGV only)

· Slinger and Signaller

· Abrasive Wheels

· Civils experience on wastewater

Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
