Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
WE FOUR GENTLEMEN WITHIN SUMMERSON HOUSE ONE GENTLEMAN SUPPORTS HIMSELF AROUND HIS HOME ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES AND LIKES TO GRAB AT PEOPLE, ONE GENTLEMAN LOVES TO WALK AROUND AND WILL PUSH AT PEOPLE AND LAUGH HE LIKES PEOPLE TO PRETEND TO FALL OVER A GAME HE LOVES, ANOTHERR GENT CAN WALK AROUND WITH HANDLING BELT WITH FULL SUPPORT FROM STAFF, AND OTHER GENTLEMAN IS UNABLE TO WALK USES HIS COMFY CHAIR FOR HOME AND WHEELCHAIR FOR OUTDOORS AND LOVES COFFEE, HIS BALL AND CHATTING TO STAFF
- There is five day staff 8am until 8pm and three waking nights 8pm until 8am.
- Our registered manager, sarah, has worked with adults with support needs for over a decade. She started her career as a support worker, so has first-hand experience of how best to support people to achieve their goals. She is supported by a team of 20 dedicated colleagues who are all passionate about delivering excellent person-centred care.
- All colleagues undertake a structured induction programme, as well as specialist training, to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to safely support your loved one. We have our own in-house training team and work with local professionals and expert training providers.
