WRAPAROUND CARE VENUE LEAD - Manor Park First School - Dorchester
Hours of work: 7.30am - 8.45am and / 2.30pm - 5.30pm. Monday - Friday Term Time.
please note not all breakfast clubs need to be role by this role.
Overtime available in school holidays .

· Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
· Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
· Ability to use a variety of techniques to communicate with both children and adults clearly and successfully
· Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
· Willing to undertake any relevant training including first aid and food and hygiene
· Have high personal expectations and dedication to achieve the best with the children we care for
The successful candidate will need to:
· Have good Literacy and Numeracy skills, able to support children in reading writing and maths as they will be allocated time to continue with their learning during the session.
· Will be able to prepare healthy snacks for the children
· Participate in a range of activities with the children during sessions both inside and outside.
· Be able to assist with the planning of activities, supporting and engaging with children during the sessions.
· Will have a general understanding of play work principals and seven characteristics of learning
Desirable:
· Appropriate Level 2 (or above) qualification (Education related)
· Previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
· Experience of working within a play-based setting
· Ability to work on own initiative
· Appropriate child protection training
· Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate
. Food Hygiene Certificate

Successful candidates will undergo constant continued professional and personal development and will be expected to attend additional external training to enhance their knowledge.s every day

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.50 – 20 per week
