We are looking for a high-performing Quality Engineer to join our growing team at Nelipak Elsham. This is a key role within our Quality function - acting as the Site Subject Matter Expert for complaints, non-conformances, and CAPA, while supporting ongoing compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

Be the site expert for customer complaints

  • Lead and manage all complaint investigations as our Subject Matter Expert
  • Drive structured problem-solving using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Why, Ishikawa
  • Coordinate effective containment, corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare professional reports for customers and present monthly performance metrics
  • Analyse complaint trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities

Lead and support Non-Conformance & CAPA activity

  • Manage internal and external NCs and CAPAs from start to finish
  • Support Production and Engineering with investigations and process reviews
  • Ensure CAPA documentation meets ISO and regulatory expectations
  • Identify trends and recommend process improvements
  • Support risk assessments, FMEAs and validation activities

Drive audit and compliance excellence

  • Plan and conduct internal QMS audits (ISO 9001, 13485, 14001)
  • Support customer, supplier, and third-party audits
  • Ensure findings are closed effectively and on time
  • Champion continuous improvement and compliance across the site

Broader contributions

  • Deliver training on quality tools and problem-solving
  • Support supplier quality reviews and investigations
  • Lead and contribute to improvement projects
  • Deputise for the Quality Manager when required
  • Maintain accurate QMS and SAP data

What We're Looking For

  • HNC/Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field
  • Experience within a manufacturing or regulated industry (medical, food, pharma preferred)
  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC)
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001/13485) – desirable
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple investigations
