We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Water Network Technician, working on the Southern Water network across Kent. This is a rare opportunity to enter a growing industry with excellent prospects for development.

Role Responsibilities:
- Identify large night-time water users by surveying designated areas
- Log water meters for high-usage customers to monitor and verify consumption data.
- Locate and inspect water meters to ensure accurate readings and functionality.
- Raise work orders for faulty or damaged water meters requiring replacement.
- Conduct leak detection surveys to identify and report leaks within the network.
- Investigate illegal water supplies and take appropriate action in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Locate and survey fire mains
- Liaise with customers to assist with investigations and provide clear communication during field activities.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to support leakage reduction initiatives and improve network efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all field activities, findings, and actions taken.
What we're looking for:
- Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Minimum GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (A-level or higher is advantageous).
- Willingness to work some night shifts.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to completing the training program.
Location: Field-based across Kent.
Contract: Full-time, permanent after successful training.
