We are now seeking a compassionate and proactive Tenant Liaison Officer to join our growing team.
Role Overview
As a Tenant Liaison Officer, you will be the main point of contact between the organisation and our tenants. You'll ensure that residents' needs are met, address any issues or requests promptly, and play a key role in maintaining high occupancy levels by bringing in new tenants to fill available rooms.
A key part of the role also involves quality assurance—ensuring that all tenants are happy, accommodation standards are maintained, and the overall living experience meets our organisational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all tenant queries, requests, and concerns.
- Conduct regular welfare and quality assurance checks to ensure tenants are safe, comfortable, and satisfied with their accommodation.
- Monitor the standard of living conditions, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring service quality is consistently maintained.
- Gather and review tenant feedback to help improve accommodation standards and overall satisfaction.
- Identify and respond to tenant support needs, referring them to appropriate internal or external services where required.
- Manage new referrals and viewings for vacant rooms, ensuring quick turnaround to maintain full occupancy.
- Liaise with local authorities, housing partners, and referral agencies to source potential tenants.
- Assist with the onboarding and move-in process for new tenants, including welcome introductions and documentation.
- Record and report maintenance issues to the relevant departments promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant communications, occupancy rates, and property quality checks.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive living environment for all residents.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (Essential).
- Previous experience in housing, social care, or tenant liaison (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Compassionate, patient, and able to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Proactive and results-driven, particularly in maintaining high occupancy levels.
- Understanding of basic housing standards and quality assurance principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
