Based in a busy fast passed Secondary School reporting to the catering manager.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Culinary Specialist. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Previous experience is required, particularly in high-volume settings.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during service periods.
