Support Worker – Children

Experienced and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team providing community-based support to children and young people with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, epilepsy, learning disabilities, and behavioural challenges.

Your role will be to provide consistent, high-quality care that promotes independence, safety, and wellbeing — while offering families a vital break from their caring responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support within the community and/or home environment
  • Assist with personal care, meal times, and sensory or recreational activities
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour management
  • Follow care plans and risk assessments accurately
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with parents, schools, and care coordinators
  • Administer medication (training provided where required)

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
  • Understanding of autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work within structured routines
  • Valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Driving licence (preferred but not essential)
