Senior AML Analyst

We are working with a leading national law firm to hire a Senior AML Analyst to join their team in Manchester.
In this role, you'll take ownership of firm-wide AML policies and procedures, provide specialist guidance on financial crime matters, support fee earners with complex due diligence and deliver training across the business. You'll have the opportunity to influence process improvements, contribute to strategic compliance initiatives and work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple offices.
The firm is looking for an experienced compliance professional with at least four years of AML or compliance experience within a law firm, with strong knowledge of UK AML regulations, sanctions legislation and broader regulatory guidance.
The responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining and updating the firm's AML risk assessment using data from reviews, onboarding, systems and regulatory updates
• Developing and refining AML policies, processes and systems
• Working with IT on workflow improvements and electronic ID verification
• Supporting fee earners with complex due diligence, reputational checks and sanctions queries
• Assisting the MLRO and deputy MLRO with internal and external suspicious activity reports
• Delivering AML training and handling escalated screening alerts
• Reviewing client and matter risk assessments and identifying knowledge gaps
• Building relationships with partners and key stakeholders and carrying out periodic client reviews
