Job Overview :

Pipeworks – Plumbing – Heating Ltd are a small, family-run plumbing & heating company looking for a skilled and reliable Domestic Plumber to help us expand our friendly team. Our work is primarily domestic, covering everything from boiler installations and servicing/maintenance to plumbing repairs and full central heating systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Carry out a wide range of domestic plumbing and heating work.
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating systems and boilers (if you hold the relevant qualifications).
  • Diagnose and fix heating system faults.
  • Assemble and plumb heating systems according to specifications and safety regulations.
  • Install and maintain bathroom and kitchen plumbing, pipework, cylinders and radiators.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to carry out installations and repairs.
  • Perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless integration of heating systems within building structures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each job.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on-site.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and maintain a professional attitude.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, to a high standard and is in line with current regulations.

Skills :

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing / Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
  • G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Gas Safe registered (preferred but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing and heating issues.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job demands.
  • Excellent communication and customer service.
