Given the nature of this role, the successful candidate will need to be fully studio based and we are unable to offer remote or hybrid working. We can however provide a comprehensive relocation support package as part of any offer, should you need to relocate.

WHAT'S THE ROLE?

We're looking for an aspiring Audio Programmer to join our Audio Tech team and contribute to the technical solutions that realise the audio design in our games.

With support and mentoring from the team, you'll create and maintain technology such as the tools to create and verify audio assets, pipelines to get audio into game and run-time hooks to trigger and manage audio. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Creating technology that translates in-game action into beautiful audio
  • Ensuring audio design requirements are supported in tools, pipelines and run-time systems 
  • Maintaining and extending existing audio technology as requirements change  
  • Developing your skills in relation to code quality and performance through supervised delivery. 
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Good knowledge of programming languages such C++, C# or Python to write clear audio code
  • Enthusiasm for the unique challenges of implementing interactive audio   
  • Some appreciation of hardware constraints on technical solutions   
  • Team player with the drive to learn quickly and take feedback from more experience audio team members
  • Good listening skills and sonic awareness
  • Ability to identify problems and challenges with assigned work and seek support from more experienced team members when required. 
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • A degree in a relevant discipline with some exposure to Audio Programming
  • Some knowledge of engines such as Wwise.
