We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Stock Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all stock control operations, ensuring accurate inventory levels, efficient stock flow and effective stock management systems. This role plays a vital part in minimising stock loss, improving stock accuracy and supporting the smooth operation of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the stock control team to achieve operational targets and maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels across all warehouse and storage locations, ensuring stock integrity and availability.
  • Implement and oversee effective stock control processes, including cycle counts, stock takes, and audits.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work closely with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan stock levels accordingly.
  • Manage and monitor stock movement, returns, and adjustments, ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Generate and analyse stock reports, providing insight and recommendations to senior management.
  • Maintain stock accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure system data reflects physical stock.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics.
