St James' Lodge is a 44 bedded Nursing Home providing up-to-date specialist care to residents who are frail, elderly and those with Dementia Care Needs.

Role Description

We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Receptionist to join our team at St James' Lodge. This on-site position (approximately 30 hours per week) involves providing efficient administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Home.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage reception duties, including welcoming visitors and handling all telephone and email communications in a courteous and professional manner

Maintain appointment systems and accurate administrative recordsProcess invoices, payments, and expense documentation

Reconcile accounts and assist in preparing financial summaries and reports

Support the Management Team with general administrative and clerical duties

Qualifications and Experience:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and confident telephone manner

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting software

Understanding of general accounting principlesPrevious experience in a bookkeeping and/or administrative role is essential

A relevant qualification in bookkeeping or accounting is desirable
