Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee and manage contracts within our clients organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and negotiation skills, along with a solid understanding of project management principles, particularly in the construction sector. This role requires exceptional organisational abilities and effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts ensuring all terms are met and adhered to.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Utilise Microsoft Project for tracking project timelines and deliverables.
  • Prepare reports on contract status and performance metrics for senior management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in contract execution.
  • Ensure that all documentation is organised and accessible for audits or reviews.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in contract management or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Leadership qualities to guide teams through contract processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • A valid driving licence may be required for site visits or meetings as necessary.
