2. JOB PURPOSE

The Transfer Pricing & Tax Technology Specialist needs to identify and analyse intercompany transactions from a transfer pricing perspective. He/she must have strong analytical skills with a special focus on data analysis and modelling through Power Query, Power BI and Excel.

He/she will also need to acquire a thorough understanding of Hikma's operating model and overall strategy and utilize this knowledge to ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules globally. 



3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Transfer Pricing & Tax Technology Specialist needs to work closely with the wider transfer pricing and tax team on the specific areas mentioned below to ensure the analysis undertaken is in line with transfer pricing rules. The specific areas are:

1-   Operational transfer pricing:

-    Reviewing intercompany transactions to ensure that they are in line with the arm's length principle

-    Reviewing P&L and Balance Sheets of Entities within the Group to enable the review of intercompany transactions

-    Take the technical lead on the set up or enhancement of transfer systems' enhancements and project

-    Helping in identify intercompany transactions across the Group based on an analysis of the functions, risks and assets related to each transaction

2-   Intercompany cost allocations

-    Understanding the internal cost allocations processes for the Hikma Group

-    Running the models for intercompany cost allocations across the Hikma Group in accordance with the relevant functions

3-   Documentation and compliance

-    Working with external advisors on preparing transfer pricing documentation to support various transfer pricing projects and transactions

-    Reviewing the local files and master files for the transfer pricing documentation needed for the Hikma Group

-    Supporting any compliance requirement from a transfer pricing aspect

4-   Forecasts and budgets

-    Assisting in preparing the Hikma Group's budgets in relation to intercompany transactions

-    Assisting in the review of forecasted intercompany transactions 4 times a year

5-   Tax Technology: Take the lead in setting up systems and processes to reduce the reliance on manual Excel files

6-   Research & Ad-hoc

-    Supporting the team in various research requirements of global tax laws as well as transfer pricing guidelines

-    Preparing ad-hoc reports and summaries of tax and transfer pricing transactions

7- Provide guidance to the junior and fresh roles in the Group Transfer Pricing functions



5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Cross functional collaboration with local and corporate teams and to regional and corporate management teams


External:

  • Working with external tax advisors


6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree preferably in Economics. Finance, accounting and other related fields can also be suitable
  • A transfer pricing related certification or detailed training is a plus


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum: 3 years of a strong performance in transfer pricing or business analytics
  • Preferred: 5 years of a strong performance in transfer pricing or business analytics


SKILLS

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • A keen interest in modeling and data analytics
    • Excellent communication skills to deal with technical tax experts and internal stakeholders with a limited tax background
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and the other Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent documentation skills
    • Must be proficient in spoken and written English and Arabic (French is a plus)
