School Operations Manager - Connaught Special School, Newham

Start date: January 2026

Connaught Special School is seeking to appoint a driven, ambitious and customer focused School Operations Manager.

You will play a key role in working with the Head Teacher and senior leaders to shape the excellent administrative function that will support staff, pupils and parents.

Connaught Free School:
  • Connaught welcomes young people with a primary diagnosis of autism and coexisting conditions.

  • Provides 45 pupil places at a temporary site in Upton Cross Primary School in Newham. When opened at its new, permanent site on Royal Road, the school will have a capacity of 105 pupils.
Our ideal candidate will be naturally organised, able to use their initiative but also know when it is best to work collaboratively. You may already have the advantage of knowing how to use the Google Drive and Google tools to best effect; however, if you do not a key skill will be your ability to transfer your existing practice from other systems, and to develop your knowledge of the applications that you will need to use in the role on a day to day basis.

The post holder will receive support and guidance from our central support teams in all aspects of the role. Together we will ensure that a highly organised administrative function focuses on the right areas at the right time, enabling the Connaught Special Schools senior leadership team to focus on delivering excellent education to our pupils.

The role will be full time, 52 weeks per year and 36 hours per week.
