Leonardo UK is seeking a proactive, detail-driven Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to play a key role in ensuring the effective control, optimisation, and compliance of our software estate. This permanent position offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a critical area of our Digital Solutions operations, helping to shape how we manage software assets across the organisation.

In this role your key responsibilities will be.
- License Tracking: Maintain accurate records of software purchases, entitlements, deployments, and renewals to ensure ongoing compliance across the software portfolio.
- Renewal Preparation: Assist in preparing renewal documentation, compiling usage and entitlement data, and tracking key expiry and renewal dates.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Input and update software licensing and usage data within SAM tools; produce regular reports to support compliance activities, optimisation initiatives, and audit requirements.
- Vendor & Procurement Support: Collaborate with procurement and software vendors to obtain quotes, validate licensing details, and support the administrative aspects of renewals and agreements.
- Process & Operational Support: Respond to internal licensing queries, support day-to-day SAM operations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and governance.
What you'll bring
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders; stakeholder management skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.
Desired (full training and support will be provided)
- Basic understanding of common software licensing models (e.g., per-user, per-device, subscription, perpetual).
- Experience using SAP or other data management tools; exposure to Software Asset Management platforms such as Flexera, ServiceNow, or Snow is a plus.
This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government's Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
