Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated self employed Roofer to join our construction team. This role involves working on various roofing projects, assisting with general construction tasks, and supporting the installation and repair of roofing systems. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
  • Operate welding equipment where necessary for metal roofing components
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets safely and efficiently
  • Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing and structural support
  • Utilise fabrication skills for custom roofing components as required
  • Assist with plumbing and masonry tasks related to roofing projects, including guttering and chimney work
  • Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to safety standards at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications

Experience

  • Previous experience in construction or roofing is a must
  • own van and tools is preferred to start
  • Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites is desirable
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks consistently
  • A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and a commitment to quality workmanship

8-4 minimum

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
