The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Crew Resource Planner who will serve as a dedicated liaison between Recruitment and Flight Operations, assisting with the seamless selection, recruitment, and onboarding of aircrew across the Draken operation of all aircraft fleets on all operating bases. In addition, this role will act as a key supportive role to aircrew and Flight Operations Management. This role is pivotal in aligning operational needs with regulatory requirements and employment standards, while enhancing the overall aircrew employment experience.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection
Develop and manage end-to-end aircrew recruitment campaigns for pilots and EWOS.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK CAA pilot licensing requirements, using this knowledge to engage with the best candidates for our roles.
- Draft compelling job adverts tailored to operational needs and market trends.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews in collaboration with Flight Ops Managers and Recruitment.
- Implement selection tools and assessments to ensure quality hires.
- Manage end-to-end assessment days, including internal organisation and candidate experience.
Undertake reviews of candidate documentation, including licensing and right to work in the UK.
Onboarding & Integration
Design and manage onboarding programs tailored for aircrew roles.
- Oversee inventory and distribution of operational supplies (e.g. headsets, stationery, hardware, uniform) for aircrew.
- Ensure smooth integration of new hires into the Fleets, alongside Fleet Captains.
Monitor early-stage performance and feedback to refine onboarding processes.
Administrative Support
Execute a wide range of administrative tasks to support the Flight Operations team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with internal procedures.
- Maintain and update operational checklists and aircraft documentation, ensuring accessibility and compliance with regulatory and compliance standards.
- Provide general admin support across all fleets in response to operational needs.
Adhoc: acting as a deputy for the Flt Ops Systems Manager when required.
Employment Offer and Retention Management
Conduct market research to assist with benchmark salaries and benefit offerings.
Collaborate with HR to develop competitive and compliant employment packages.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Develop metrics and reporting tools to track recruitment and licensing efficiency, in addition to working with the Recruitment team to streamline recruitment metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements across the aircrew employment lifecycle.
- Assist Flight Ops Managers with overall headcount tracking and workforce planning.
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
- Understanding of CAA crew licensing requirements (Essential)
- Experience of flight operations support (Highly desirable)
- Understanding of aircrew regulatory framework (desirable)
- Proven experience in aviation recruitment (Highly desirable)
- HR or aviation-related qualifications (Desirable)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with multitasking and attention to detail
- Proactive communication with follow up and close out
- Familiarity with aviation documentation and regulatory environments.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight.
