Machine Operator - Supplements Manufacturing

Arena Health Ltd - Ashford, Kent

We are an established, fast growing company looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable machine operator to join our at our Ashford premises.

You will be operating our encapsulating machines.

Our working hours are Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:00.

Duties:

  • Setting up the machines as instructed
  • Operating control and quality checks throughout production
  • Polishing the finished product and metal detecting
  • Perform machine/equipment hygiene and changeovers
  • Filling all relevant production paperwork with accuracy
  • Maintain high levels of hygiene

You must be enthusiastic and demonstrate a positive approach to our thriving and challenging specific industry.

We are SALSA Foods ) and Organic Soil Association ) accredited;

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be physically fit and able to cope with the rigours of fast paced environment including standing, walking, reaching, lifting medium weight loads and bending duties.
  • You need to have worked in a factory environment
  • You need experience in setting up machines, operating machines and mechanical troubleshooting.

Although we do require previous experience in a factory environment, a full training scheme will be implemented in your first week including the opportunity to gain internationally recognised certifications.

Additional requirements:

  • Previous machine operative experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of a heavy duty and high-speed machinery
  • Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
  • Working level of speaking English
  • Ability to read English
  • Numerate (able to understand and work with numbers)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Perform basic maths using a calculator
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Accurate and diligent way of working
  • Work well under pressure
  • Maintain good working relationships with peers
  • Organise and prioritise workload

Job Type: Full time – Monday to Friday

7.30am to 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break

28 days holidays per year + Birthday day off

Starting salary: £12.50/hour (depending on experience)

This job role is not suitable for remote work.
