Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Sales Assistant to join our dynamic sales team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop sales skills within a professional environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting customer engagement, promoting products, and contributing to the overall success of our sales operations. Prior experience is not essential; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key qualities we value highly.

Duties

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Assist customers with product enquiries and provide detailed information to support their purchasing decisions.
  • Support the sales team by preparing promotional materials and maintaining product displays.
  • Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash or card payments securely.
  • Keep the sales area tidy, organised, and well-stocked to ensure an inviting shopping environment.
  • Participate in stock checks and inventory management activities as required.
  • Contribute to team meetings by sharing feedback from customers and suggesting improvements.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organisational skills with attention to detail for maintaining displays and stock levels.
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately.

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
