Job Title: Senior Staff Nurse - Paediatric Neuro-rehab & Complex Care

Hours of work: Permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Sunday shifts)
We're looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join the Paediatric Neuro-rehab & Complex Care team at our client's site in London. As a Senior Staff Nurse working within our Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatient Ward, you'll play a key role in the smooth operation of the department. You will support and mentor junior nurses, using your in-depth clinical knowledge to guide and lead the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Implement and evaluate holistic care plans for children in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
• Participate in audits and quality improvement projects
• Support and mentor junior nurses
• Lead the unit when required
• Ensure high standards of clinical governance and patient safety
Qualifications & Experience Required
• NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
• Experience working within Paediatric Neurorehabilitation and complex care needs (essential)
• Experience supervising and assessing students and shift leading (essential)
• Experience with tracheostomised patients (desirable)
• Understanding of Safeguarding issues
• Teaching and mentoring experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong clinical governance and audit experience
