Skills And Competencies

  • 10+ years' experience in direct business-to-business sales roles, preferably serving financial services and/or (Re)insurance clients.
  • Deep understanding of the (Re)insurance industry and interest in capital markets, data, and software.
  • Solid grasp of global financial services industry dynamics and customer business drivers.
  • Ability to present both high-level information and detailed product/service demonstrations.
  • Proven consultative selling skills and ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusion.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior executives internally and externally.
  • Strong independent and team working skills, with high attention to detail.

Education
Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's degree) in economics, finance, or related area preferred.

Responsibilities
This role is responsible for working with other sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the sales process for a set of complex products and services for Insurance companies. Key activities include identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity and managing full sales cycle. Additionally, the role requires the assessment of client needs and providing clients with specific strategic guidance and product overviews.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals and exceed annual targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—collaborating with internal teams and sales colleagues.
  • Lead business development efforts for insurance clients, partnering with Solution Specialists for proposals and demos.
  • Serve as the primary contact for client functions including risk, finance, actuarial, and investment.
  • Promote and help shape solutions tailored to the insurance sector.
  • Expand Moody's presence across the broader insurance ecosystem, including consultants, regulators, and industry groups.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Strategy teams to enhance offerings and identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Build strong client relationships by identifying needs and recommending tailored solutions using market and technical insights.
  • Deliver expert-level service and insights throughout the sales cycle, including product overviews, use cases, and issue resolution.
  • This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.
