In this Category Manager role, you'll be working across some of the UK's most exciting chilled categories. Premium sausages, charcuterie, BBQ favourites, pâté, festive treats and protein snacking. 
 
There's always something new landing on the shelf, a seasonal launch or a fresh bit of innovation to get stuck into. If you love great food, this is your kind of thing.
 
Utilise your experience in the premium chilled & private label categories to lead the way and to cultivate a constant stream of innovation and new NPD. It's a genuine step up, a role where you move from supporting to leading, and where your insight really shapes what lands on shelves. Become the voice of the customer 
 
To thrive here you'll already have some experience in category, consumer insight or research within FMCG. You'll know your way around data tools like EPOS, Kantar, Dunnhumby or Mintel, and you'll be able to turn numbers into stories that influence decisions. Own label experience would be a real plus too.
 
You'll be the one shaping category plans, rooted in insight and shopper behaviour. You'll lead reviews, feed into NPD briefs and seasonal launches and make sure what lands in store is exactly what shoppers are looking for. 
 
You'll be at the heart of the action, working closely with senior category, insight, commercial and NPD teams, whilst also lending out a helping hand to category execs and grads along the way.
 
You'll be shaking a lot of hands and chatting to a bunch of people in this role. Ensure you are a strong communicator to  establish rock solid relationships with key stakeholders. 
 
Be prepared to be out and about too. The main office is based in Leicester, you'll be expected to pop in a few times a week with occasional visits to Tesco or other retailers as part of the role. There's even the opportunity to work out of their Welwyn Garden City location if needed too.
