Step Out Stockport are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated team player with a can-do approach who can research, plan, co-ordinate and deliver alongside colleagues appropriate social activities for our members. You will also support our clients in a holistic manner by assisting, enabling and looking after their general wellbeing according to their assessed need.

There are two parts to this role, 3 x days Support Worker & 2 x days Activity Co-ordinator.

The main tasks and purpose of the role is:

To support the delivery of high quality supportive and caring day service activities in a variety of settings. Including personal care & supporting with food & drink.

To support the Senior staff to implement personal support plans including risk assessment, moving and handling assessments, safe administration of medication and any other social care requirements.

To research, plan and co-ordinate appropriate social activities to cater for individuals with different support needs.

To devise & deliver an activity schedule to peer colleagues so the activities can be implemented by ALL Step Out staff.

To support the Senior staff to create a supportive and enabling environment where the customers can achieve maximum independence, and / or regain previous levels of functioning, to focus on ensuring positive outcomes for customers which allows them to participate and contribute to their local communities.

To undertake all essential duties to ensure the customer remains safe and well at the chosen activity/ venue.

To provide general support to the customer as part of a flexible team including informal carers and liaising with other services as necessary.

To assist in the ongoing assessment and rehabilitation of customers and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate person
