About the Drama Teacher Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Drama Teacher to join our dedicated Drama department. The successful Drama Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and a love for the performing arts.

What you'll do as a Drama Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Drama lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their passion for Drama.
  • Teach a variety of Drama techniques and performance styles, fostering students' understanding of theatre and performance.
  • Direct and produce school productions and Drama showcases, providing opportunities for students to shine on stage.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Drama, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the Drama curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring that our teaching remains current and engaging.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Drama teaching.

What you'll need to be a successful Drama Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Drama or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Drama.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for Drama and a commitment to inspiring students.
