We are Parker Smith Inclusion, an ethical and honest education supply agency specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We work closely with several actors looking for flexible and rewarding work between auditions and gigs.
- SEN Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant roles available
- Monday - Friday (term time only)
- 8:30am - 4:00pm
- £80 PAYE Weekly Payments on Fridays

You will support children and young people diagnosed with Autism/ASC, complex needs, Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). You will proactively engage and interact with children and young people through play-based and sensory-related activities in classroom settings. You will also provide a creative and fun learning environment by utilising music, arts & crafts, drama, dance, and sports Classroom sizes are small, with up to 8 children per class. You will assist the class teacher and work closely with other Teaching Assistants.

**Ideal Actors?**
- Have experience working with Theatre in Education (TIE) or drama workshops with children and young people
- Have experience supporting children and young people
- Have personal interests in supporting children and young people with additional needs
- A positive, proactive and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
- A team player and has great communication skills
- Being able to build good working relationships with students and staff members

Some of our students are non-verbal and have a wide range of learning difficulties. A multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, support students. Some students may also have physical disabilities and are wheelchair users. Being able to use Makaton (sign language) or PECs is ideal. Personal Care (feeding and toileting) and hydrotherapy are required as this is a part of the job.
