Head Chef – Italian Café/Bistro in Marlow

We are looking for a Head Chef to join our vibrant café-restaurant in the heart of Marlow. Satollo is an independently owned Italian café-bistro with a loyal customer base, a warm and friendly team, and a reputation for serving fresh, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.

This is a full-time position ideal for someone who can work independently, has a passion for Italian cuisine, and takes pride in delivering excellent food and service. We offer a straightforward, seasonal menu that leaves plenty of room for quality and care in preparation.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen (at least 2–3 years, ideally in a similar setting)
  • A reliable and self-motivated individual able to run a kitchen independently
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure during busy periods
  • A solid understanding of food hygiene, safety regulations, and allergen compliance
  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one quickly)
  • Someone with a genuine interest in Italian food and culture
  • Own transport or ability to travel easily to central Marlow
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude

This is a hands-on role that includes everything from prep and cooking to maintaining kitchen cleanliness, ordering stock, reducing waste, and ensuring high standards are consistently met.
