Banbury
Salary: £100,000 to £120,000 DOE plus package
We are partnering with a specialist capital equipment business with turnover circa £5M and strong potential for scale, the company is backed by a supportive ownership group and is entering a phase where clear leadership is needed to grow the business to profitability and build a platform for long term growth.
This role requires a commercially focused leader with a strong background in capital equipment sales, manufacturing and business improvement. You will take full responsibility for the company, leading from the front on sales activity while setting the strategy that will bring the business into a profitable position. This will involve hands on customer engagement, building commercial strength, tightening financial control, and guiding the team through a phase of development and scale up.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company with full accountability for performance, culture, and long term direction
- Build and deliver a clear plan to return the business to profitability with disciplined commercial and financial control
- Own the sales strategy for capital equipment and lead customer development, prospecting, and closing activity
- Strengthen relationships with key accounts and identify new markets and growth channels
- Develop capability across the team and set clear expectations, behaviours, and standards
- Oversee P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and governance with a strong focus on financial discipline
- Improve processes, structure, and efficiency to support a scalable and profitable operation
- Work closely with the ownership group and contribute to wider portfolio discussions
About You
- Experienced leader with a background in capital equipment, technical products, or similar commercial settings
- Hands on sales approach with proven success driving revenue and margin improvement
- Financially literate with strong P&L management experience and a track record of delivering profitability
- Confident building and leading teams, setting direction, and creating a performance focused culture
- Clear communicator with credibility across customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Resilient, pragmatic, and comfortable leading a business through change and scale up
