We're looking for a practical, proactive, and motivated Assistant Manager to support our Warehouse & Distribution operations. Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of stock between our hub, depots, and customers.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with experience in logistics, warehouse supervision, or distribution who's ready to take the next step into management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Distribution Manager in overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Assist with and coordinate the loading and unloading of automotive parts and components.
  • Supervise and support drivers to ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with company and Health & Safety standards.
  • Use the Warehouse Management System (CAM) to track, update, and control stock movements.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections, reporting any safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Lead by example to promote teamwork, accuracy, and service excellence.
  • Carry out manual handling and heavy lifting duties (up to 25kg).

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or transport environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team-leader experience desirable.
  • Automotive sector experience advantageous.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling safely.
  • Strong organisation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Basic vehicle knowledge preferred (routine checks/fault reporting).
  • Full, valid UK driving licence (required).
