Nurse Deputy Manager

Location: Care Home, DY13 0RW

Hours: Full Time – 38.5 hours per week

  • 2 long shifts on the floor
  • 2 supernumerary shifts
  • Occasional weekends required

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years Care Home Deputy Manager experience (5 years highly preferred)
  • Will consider a step-up applicant with strong relevant experience

Qualification: Must be an RGN with strong clinical experience

Pay Rate: £24.50 per hour

We Are Hiring: Nurse Deputy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Deputy Manager to join our care home team in DY13 0RW. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager—or a strong senior nurse ready to step up—who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting the smooth running of the home.

You will work 38.5 hours per week, including 2 long clinical shifts on the floor and 2 supernumerary management shifts, with occasional weekend work required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home Manager in the daily management and overall operations of the care home.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the care and nursing teams to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Complete clinical assessments, audits, medication management, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in rota planning, staff supervision, and performance management.
  • Handle safeguarding, care plans, risk assessments, and clinical governance tasks.
  • Act as a role model, providing strong clinical leadership on the floor.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified RGN with solid clinical nursing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years Deputy Manager experience within a Care Home (5 years highly desirable).
  • Will consider a step-up candidate with the right experience and leadership ability.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and high-quality care delivery.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends.

Pay: From £24.50 per hour
