Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient Tutor to provide personalised academic support to students across various age groups. The successful candidate will assist learners in understanding subject matter, developing effective study skills, and building confidence in their abilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys through tailored instruction and encouragement.

Duties

  • Deliver one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in designated subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust tutoring strategies accordingly
  • Develop customised lesson plans and educational materials to support learning objectives
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation
  • Support students with special education needs by implementing appropriate teaching techniques
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and challenges
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and student development
  • Stay informed about curriculum changes and best practices in tutoring and special education

Skills

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching across various subjects
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and patiently
  • Experience working with children and understanding of their developmental needs
  • Knowledge of special education strategies and inclusive teaching practices is desirable
  • Organised with the ability to plan lessons effectively and manage time efficiently
  • Empathetic approach with a genuine desire to support student growth and confidence
  • Flexibility to adapt teaching styles to suit diverse learning preferences

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
