High performance IP Video, communications, and broadcast systems enable our customers to securely monitor, control, communicate, and share information with confidence in complex environments and in the most demanding situations.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Programme Director, the Programme Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of projects. This includes setting clear deadlines, delegating tasks to project team members, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. You will ensure all project deliverables are completed on schedule and in alignment with agreed timelines, providing regular progress reports to project sponsors and key stakeholders.

The role encompasses the delivery of both software and hardware product development, using tailored project management methodologies to suit the specific needs of each initiative. You will also be instrumental in developing strong business relationships and managing technically complex projects, ensuring the successful delivery of objectives for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
  • Manage a portfolio of related projects to meet customer requirements and business goals.
  • Track project performance and conduct regular reviews to address cost, schedule, and risk deviations.
  • Identify, prioritise, and secure the necessary resources for successful project execution.
  • Support bid preparation and reporting
  • Lead project teams with clear direction, goal setting, and mentoring to foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.
  • Communicate project scope, progress, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage customer expectations, handle change requests, and ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive new product development and upgrades, following the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure readiness for volume production.
  • Collaborate with Operations to manage initial production, monitor supply chain milestones, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate internal and third-party supplier deliverables for seamless integration into final products.
  • Proactively manage project risks and opportunities to ensure successful outcomes.

About You:

To succeed in this engaging role within Domo Tactical Communications, you will bring aligned experience managing technically complex projects, ideally in the defence, tactical communications, or advanced technology sectors. Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), encompassing both software and hardware development, is highly beneficial, particularly where solutions must meet mission-critical, ruggedised, or high-security requirements.

You will be confident using Microsoft Project (MSP) or equivalent planning tools, and fully conversant with the Microsoft Windows toolset. Familiarity with collaborative platforms such as Confluence and Jira is desirable. Previous experience delivering projects within Ministry of Defence (MoD) frameworks or other secure government environments is advantageous.

The successful candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, high level organisational, problem-solving and communication skills. You will be capable of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and aligning delivery with internal stakeholders, customer requirements, and DTC's broader business objectives in the tactical communications domain.

This is an office-based position and will require the successful candidate to meet the criteria for UK Security Clearance.
