Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Receptionist/Assistant accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Duties

  • Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Manage scheduling and appointments, coordinating with team members as necessary.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and organising documents.
  • Handle correspondence, including emails and mail distribution.
  • Support financial operations preparing invoices and entering data into SAGE as required.
  • Maintain an organised workspace to ensure efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous transport office experience is essential, with a strong background in administrative roles preferred.
  • previous experience in the haulage / crane hire industries will be an advantage
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAGE is advantageous.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Salary

Wages are advertised at £14 but is negatable depending experience. Overtime available to meet the business needs.
