Our small group settings and tailored learning packages allow us to provide personalised behavioural and academic support to meet each student's individual needs.

Main Duties

• Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive learning environments.
• Mentor and coach students to develop self-regulation, resilience, and positive coping strategies.
• Assist with the creation, delivery, and monitoring of individual behaviour support plans (IBSPs).
• Support students during lessons, reflection sessions, and structured interventions.
• Help new learners settle into the school environment and build positive relationships with peers and staff.
• Record and monitor behavioural progress and communicate outcomes with teachers and pastoral teams.
• Liaise with parents/carers, teachers, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
• Promote inclusion and wellbeing through positive role modelling and consistent communication.
• Support students on school visits, enrichment activities, or work experience placements.
• Contribute to a safe, caring, and structured school environment.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies.

About You

• Passionate about supporting young people with behavioural or emotional needs.
• Calm, empathetic, and resilient when managing challenging behaviour.
• Organised, reliable, and proactive in promoting a safe and positive school culture.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
• Experience in a behavioural support, pastoral, or mentoring role within an educational or care setting.
• Willing to submit an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS).
• Willing to complete Child Protection and Safeguarding training.
• Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all children and young people.
