As we are expanding, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our small design team in an established manufacturing business. Offering a unique opportunity, this hybrid role combines packaging design with hands-on sample creation. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a keen eye for design and be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – primarily Illustrator and Photoshop.

In your day to day, you will collaborate with the department head, as well as the production and commercial teams to bring customer packaging designs to life. Your responsibilities will include developing artwork based on customer requirements, checking designs to ensure accuracy in copy; layout and dimensions, as well as managing the ordering and proofing of printing stereos once artwork has been approved. Further duties include creating handmade concept samples for customers and supporting the development of visual assets for our sales team, including materials for the website and social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

· Creation of die-lines, mock-ups, and detailed artwork for print production.

· Prepare and proof print-ready files for plate suppliers and printers.

· Collaborate with the commercial and production team to ensure print is to Highest Quality.

· Order printing plates (flexographic) and check they match with corresponding artwork.

· Creation of Concept Samples for customers (both printed and unprinted).

· Assist in creating visual assets for our website, social media, packaging, print, and marketing materials.

What We Need from You:

· HND in graphic design or similar, or equivalent relevant experience.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Primarily Illustrator and Photoshop.

· Good foundation of composition and layout rules.

· Experience designing and preparing artwork for print i.e. packaging and sampling (desirable non-essential).

· A positive, can-do attitude, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and creative thinking.

· MS Office.

· A Keen eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Team player with good communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
