Job Role: Deputy Manager Role (9 to 5 role)
Salary: £36000 (any overtime or sleep ins completed are paid additionally)
Location: Newton-le-Willows
At New Chapters, our mission is to provide every child with a foundation built on love, care, compassion, and sturdiness — a safe and nurturing home where they are truly seen, heard, and valued.
We believe that every child deserves not only safety, but the chance to thrive. By embracing their individual needs, and encouraging their interests and passions, we support children with us to take confident steps toward a new future filled with possibility.
This is more than just care — it is a privilege. Each moment we share with a child is a chance to empower them to feel fulfilled, resilient, and ready to shape a life they are proud of.
If you want to make a genuine difference to children's lives, then we want you.
We offer a home to up to 3 children with learning disabilities such as autism, and provide them with a safe, nurturing home that celebrates them for who they are. Their childhood should be filled with joy, discovery and a sense of belonging, which will give them the foundation to lead a life with confidence, resilience and strength.
Experience of helping children with learning disabilities, either in a paid role, voluntary or through personal experience, is preferred but not essential.
What you'll find at New Chapters
As an Deputy Manager, you'll play a central role in leading the team and ensuring that our ethos is lived out every day. You'll find:

- The opportunity to work closely with the Registered Manager and help shape the direction of the home.
- A competitive salary, sleep-in payments, and pension scheme.
- Ongoing leadership development, with support to achieve Level 5 if not already held.
- A values-led culture that supports your growth and wellbeing.
- The chance to make a lasting impact — on children, colleagues, and the wider organisation.
What you bring:
We're looking for strong, compassionate leaders who are committed to making a difference. You will bring:
- Significant experience in residential childcare.
- A minimum Level 3 qualification, with Level 5 desirable (or willingness to work towards it).
- The ability to support and develop a team, ensuring practice is consistent and child-centred.
- Strong decision-making skills and the confidence to take the lead when needed.
- A deep commitment to safeguarding and compliance.
- A passion for empowering children to thrive, grow, and shape a future they are proud of.
- Flexibility to step in when your team needs you — including taking part in the on-call rota and occasionally covering shifts, ensuring stability and consistency for the children.
