Assistant Tax and Partnership Accountant

How you'll make an impact

As Assistant Tax and Partnership Accountant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient financial operations. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of tax and accounting responsibilities, supporting both corporate and partnership-level reporting while contributing to key financial processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting partnership and corporation tax compliance, including preparing computations, returns, and reserves
  • Preparing property income accounts, pension allowance calculations, and tax treaty forms
  • Assisting with PAYE settlement agreements and related filings
  • Supporting partner distributions and capital account reconciliations
  • Managing journals, reconciliations, and maintaining ledger integrity
  • Handling VAT queries, monthly checks, and quarterly returns
  • Reviewing payroll outputs and monitoring spend against budgets
  • Maintaining accurate financial documentation and supporting process improvements
  • Liaising with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Supporting ad hoc financial projects as required

You'll also have:

  • ATT qualification (completed or in progress)
  • Experience in tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, or companies
  • A good understanding of UK business tax, VAT, and personal tax
  • Strong Excel skills and good general IT literacy
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
