We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at Fairhill Shopping Centre in Ballymena. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, effective communication skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to incidents.
This role is 40 hours per week with additional hours available.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing conflict management techniques.
- Prepare detailed reports of incidents and maintain accurate logs of daily activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent conflict management skills and the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed on weekly rota.

Pay: £12.79-£13.09 per hour
