Murci is a high-growth, UK fashion brand with an ambitious roadmap and a rapidly expanding global footprint. We operate as a small, tight-knit team, which means every role has real impact, and this position requires someone who can take complete ownership of the finance function from day one.
We are looking for a commercially minded, detail-driven Financial Controller, with proven experience, who can bring structure, clarity, and discipline to a fast-paced environment. As we scale internationally, this role will play a key part in shaping our financial foundations, strengthening controls, and ensuring we operate efficiently across multiple markets.
You will work closely with the Founders and leadership team, translating numbers into insight, guiding financial decision-making, and helping us maintain strong performance as we grow. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to help build something significant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Partner with wider teams to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and profitability growth.
- Create and implement financial and operational standards across the company.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
- Manage working capital effectively to support healthy cash flow and operational stability.
Skills and experience:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- 3–5 years experience in a finance or controller-level role.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and accuracy.
- A natural problem solver.
- Background in e-commerce, retail, fashion, or consumer goods preferred.
- Experience working with modern tech systems, such as Shopify, Xero, A2X etc.
This role is based on-site in Manchester. Only individuals with the relevent skills and experience will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
