Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in upselling our beverages and food offerings, contributing to an enjoyable experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with standard recipes.
  • Engage with guests to provide outstanding service, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
  • Upsell food and drink items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Assist in food preparation as required, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations within the bar and restaurant environment.
  • Stay informed about menu items and specials to effectively assist guests with their choices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
  • Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A proactive attitude towards helping colleagues and guests alike.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
