Overview

An exciting opportunity to join a brand new kitchen team. We are a new bistro hiring a whole kitchen. We require head chef, chefs and kitchen assistant.

Our opening hours:

Wednesday- Thursday 4-9

Friday -Saturday 10-9

Sunday 10-6

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to oversee the kitchen operation at our newly established Bistro and events space.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, cooking, and food safety, along with excellent leadership skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

Duties

  • Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
  • Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
  • Implement and uphold food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback regarding food quality and service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar supervisory position within the restaurant industry. Or an experienced chef looking to make the next step into kitchen management.
  • Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Experience in hospitality with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
