Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the store manager in daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team to achieve sales goals. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for re Hospitality management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the premises, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of customer service.
  • Supervise and train staff, providing guidance on best practices in sales, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Conduct employee orientation and training programs to enhance team performance.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, stocking, and pricing of merchandise.
  • Handle cash management tasks including cash handling and POS operations.
  • Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviewing and hiring processes.
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote sales and enhance store visibility.
  • Maintain accurate records for payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar supervisory role within retail or grocery settings.
  • Strong understanding of retail math, inventory management, and sales management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for enhancing customer interactions.
  • Familiarity with merchandising techniques and marketing strategies is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and training & development.
